Corinne joined the Lau Lab as a summer student in 2025 after her second year her integrated Biochemistry Masters (MBiochem) at Wadham College. Corinne successfully applied to the Biochemical Society for a funded summer project to explore Plasmodium EB and its interactions with microtubules. During this project she perfected constructs that allowed her to test the binding of PfEB to different microtubule lattices. She also demonstrated her excellent crochet skills by creating some remarkable Plasmodium merozoites. As an outcome of her studentship, she was awarded an Eisenthal prize by the Biochemical Society, awarded for an outstanding studentship report.
